Art courses are offered in 10 well-equipped studios:
Ceramics, Drawing, Digital Media, Design, Fiber Art, Metalsmithing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture. All studios are housed in 5 buildings in one area of campus.

The 14,941-square-foot Art Building has been the University's hub for art education since 1969. The Art Building includes a painting studio, staff offices, digital media and painting classrooms, and a photography studio and darkroom. In the 1940s and 1950s, the building was known as "The Hut" and used for dances and social functions.

Art Ceramics Building

The ceramics studio is approximately 1800 square feet with four separate rooms; the general studio area, glaze lab, clay mixing room, and kiln room. The general studio is set up for both hand building and wheel throwing with large canvas covered tables, slab roller, extruder, nine Brent electric wheels and twenty one motorized kick wheels. The kiln room is equipped with two computerized electric kilns, one thirty two cubic foot gas kiln and one fifty cubic foot gas cart kiln. There are portable raku kilns available and access to off campus wood kiln. Clay and glazes are supplied to enrolled students. They also enjoy the privilege of access to glaze lab and clay mixing room for individual projects.

Art Metalsmithing Building

The Art Metals Building opened in 1936. The Art Department uses the 3,145-square-foot building for metalsmithing classes.

Patterson Hall

Patterson Hall is #23 on the . To see the studio and student artworks. .

During a semester students explore the creative, technical, conceptual and multi-dimensional aspects of fiber art. Students work with variety of flexible materials such as: yarn, thread, wool, wire, paper and more. They learn techniques of felting, weaving, silk painting, dyeing, papermaking, surface design and more. Projects include functional and non-functional pieces and wearable and non-wearable pieces. The format of the course includes lectures, demonstrations, critiques and discussions between professor and students.

Art Sculpture Building

The Art Sculpture Building is #22 on the . To see the studio and student artworks, .

The 5,100-square-foot Art Sculpture Building opened in 2009. The facility offers a state-of-the art environment for creating works in clay, metal, wood and other materials. The building includes a woodworking shop, welding and casting room and main lecture hall that doubles as a sculpture studio. Computers with three-dimensional applications facilitate art projects.

Martha Gault Art Gallery

The Martha Gault Art Gallery is #11 on the (located in Maltby Center).

Since 1984, the Martha Gault Art Gallery provides professionally programmed exhibitions for professional artists and student art majors. Students earning the BFA in Art complete their capstone project with an exhibition in the Martha Gault Art Gallery.
